HVAC owner questions

How can an HVAC company get more Google reviews?

Create a consistent request process that welcomes honest feedback without incentives or rating pressure.

THE DIRECT ANSWER

Ask customers with genuine service experiences for an honest review, make the review link easy to use and assign someone to respond. Google prohibits incentives in exchange for posting, changing or removing reviews. Avoid filtering requests so only customers expected to give high ratings receive the public review link.

Choose a consistent service event

Define when your office considers the job complete and who checks the customer record before requesting feedback. Apply the same eligibility process regardless of expected sentiment. Keep a support channel available for unresolved issues without using it to divert dissatisfied customers away from public feedback.

Use a neutral request

An original template: “Thank you for choosing [business] for [service]. If you would like to share your experience, you can leave an honest Google review here: [review link]. For help with your visit, contact [office].” Do not prescribe the rating, supply fabricated review text or tie a discount to the review.

Treat feedback as operational information

Assign someone to read new reviews and route service concerns to the right person. Public replies should stay concise and protect customer privacy. Record recurring issues such as late arrival or unclear estimates so the business can fix the source of the complaint. A reply is not a substitute for resolving the customer’s problem.

A practical example

Fictional example: two completed jobs receive the same neutral request. One customer praises the technician; another raises a scheduling concern. The office thanks the first and offers the second a private way to resolve the issue. Both customers were free to leave honest public feedback.

What to do next

Check the link on a phone, review your request wording and name the person responsible for new feedback. Track requests and reviews without promising a specific star rating.
